The thumb. Interesting thing, isn’t it. It’s the longest finger on the human hand. That’s right, it’s a finger. A finger. If you say that your thumb isn’t a finger, it’s like saying that your pinky isn’t a finger. Or the index finger. Or the finger in the middle. Or the ring finger. So if you still think that the thumb isn’t a finger, just call the a pinky, a ring, a middle, an index, and a thumb. Go ahead, I dare you. Because if you do, you’ll look like an idiot.
Just wanted to get my point across.

Today, the longest serving member of the American Congress, Robert Byrd, passed away today at the age of 92. He had checked into a hospital just a few days ago, and now he’s no longer with the world.

Sorry I’m posting about my vacation so late. But it was awesome! It was in Seattle, by the way.
First, we checked into the Crowne Plaza Hotel. It was awesome. The next day, we got to go into the Hospitality Suite (which was actually the Ambassador Suite.) Then we went to the wedding rehearsal, then to the rehearsal dinner. Then we went to bed. Then, I woke up at around noon (which is actually 2:00 PM where I’m from), so I got about 11 hours of sleep. Then we went to the wedding. In a limosuine. Which was awesome. When the wedding was over, we went to the ball room in the hotel, where the dinner was. They opened the bar three hours in, so nobody started dancing after the the dinner. The music started modern, then it went slowly went to 50′s music. I left at that point. Partly it was because they pulled me on to the dance floor, I fought with all my will, the spotlight went on me, and the camera crew took a picture of me struggling to escape. I was later told that the music didn’t go to Stone Age style, but it instead went to Michael Jackson. Then the next day, we left to go back to Minnesota.
So all in all, it was an awesome vacation (Except for the embarassing incident on the dance floor.)

Today I started playing SimCity 3000 again. It’s a game made in 1998, and you build your own city from the ground up. In 30 minutes, there were four disasters: First I accidently started a fire, then there was an earthquake (which the city psychics predicted), then for some reason aliens decided to attack (which people say they say coming), and they started a fire. All in just 30 minutes.

My mom works for the company 3M, and she has told me about something that 3M has made and filled patents on: the 3D TV. (Finally, something revolutionary that Apple can’t hoard in on.) It’s not a secret project, in fact it’s in the Innovation Center, which means it’s public domain. But there are some problems with it. You have to be two feet in front of it, and be looking at it straight on.

Yoohoo! School has ended this year, and all of the 6th graders got to leave at 2:00, instead of 3:30. Fortunately, I’m 6th grade! Next year I’ll be in 7th grade, and in Middle School. But, I live right next to the school, and they say that I’ll have to visit them every week. But I still can’t believe that everybody graduated. There’s one girl who doesn’t know simple arithmetic, and one boy who runs away from every test. They were practically giving away those diplomas. I bet I could have just sat there and drooled on my table, and I still would have gotten a diploma.
All and all, I have only a few regrets, and none that I can’t make up for next year.
